Eastlink Resurfacing Project

Landair Surveys supported ConnectEast and Downer Group in the resurfacing of Eastlink, contributing over 2,500 surveying hours across three consecutive summers. Using mobile laser scanning, Landair conducted rolling straight-edge analyses to simulate ride smoothness and assisted in planning meetings during the tendering process. As part of the resurfacing, our team worked in rotating night shifts to measure asphalt removal and resurfacing extents, reinstate toll-point markers and provide QA checks to guide the next day’s operations.

Daily progress plans ensured smooth project execution, while historical monitoring points were reinstated at key interchanges for long-term evaluation. With a partnership dating back to 2004, Landair’s expertise in road surface analysis and spatial data has been integral to Eastlink’s development and ongoing maintenance.
