Landair Surveys News

Waste 2018 Conference

We had a privilege to participate in the Waste 2018 Conference in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales. Over 600 delegates from Australia and New Zealand gathered together to learn and share about the latest and the greatest technologies in the industry.

Not only we had an opportunity to showcase our surveying solutions for the landfill industry, but we also were able to learn first-hand from our existing and potential clients about their pressing needs when it comes to surveying. This is what we discovered:

  • Drones are not shiny new toys they used to be a few years ago. Our clients impressed us with their understanding of drone-based surveying and their sophisticated inquires around data accuracy and limitations of the drones. It seems that our message “It Pays to Get It Right” is getting through.
  • We got a lot of interest about our relatively new Near-Infrared Imagery service, especially from the representatives of the local councils. They were very keen to learn how Near-Infrared Imagery can help them control vegetation health impacted by floods, drought, bushfires and weeds.
  • We also received a lot of inquiries around thermal imaging – a powerful surveying technology we are currently exploring and hoping to offer it to our clients later this year. If you would like to find out more about it, please drop us a line through our website form or call us 1300 130 158, so we can keep you informed.
