Landair Surveys collaborated with Holcim on laser scanning surveys for the two stages of a quarry plant upgrade at Oaklands Junction. The project focused on eight critical locations, including the primary and secondary & tertiary crushers and reclaim conveyors, to support improved design integration.
Over weekends and the Christmas plant closure, the team established a control network aligned to the site coordinate system and conducted detailed internal and external scanning. Using the registered point cloud, our 3D modeler created accurate models of the plant’s infrastructure over 80 hours, including conveyors, steelwork, hoppers and tanks. These models enabled the engineering team to seamlessly incorporate enhancements into the plant’s crushing workflow.
