108 Little Bourke Street Melbourne
The Landair Survey team journeyed to the heart of China Town to measure the heritage facades at 109 Lt Bourke St on behalf of conservation specialists Conservation Studio.
Opened in 1921 as the Melbourne headquarters of the Chinese Nationalist Party, the main façade was designed by Walter Burley Griffin (most famous in Australia for designing Canberra). The original façade contained ornate panelling what was removed in the 1970s.
The deliverables to our client were a high-density colour pointcloud and an online viewer allowing the Conservation Studio team and stakeholders the chance to interact virtually with the façade.
We are proud to be one of the first steps in the journey to restore the façade back to it’s originally glory from 100+ years ago.
